Jimena Rodríguez

... is a Spanish double bassist currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with Prof. Wies de Boevé. She has held internships with the Sinfonieorchester Basel and the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, and regularly performs with Swiss ensembles such as the Orchester der Oper Zürich, the J. S. Bach Foundation St. Gallen, the Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen, and Collegium Novum Zürich. A recipient of several scholarships, Jimena is also involved in quite a lot of chamber music projects.

After completing my bachelor’s degree in Madrid, I am currently in Zurich studying for a master’s degree with Prof. Wies de Boevé while doing an internship with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich.
